All-State Children's Chorus
This year, 360 students were selected to participate in the All-State Children’s Chorus, which is sponsored by the Nebraska Music Education Association. Ms. Judy Welch, Children’s Chorus Coordinator for the Nebraska Music Education Association, is pleased to announce that Zachary Pendergast and Cameron Kuehler - 4th graders, and Skylar Scholting, Kelly McKeown, Aylla Weeder, and Maci Miller - 5th graders, will be among the 360 students selected to be a part of the 2017 All-State Children’s Chorus. Guest conductor for the group will be Rollo A. Dilworth, Professor of Choral Music Education and Chair of the Department of Music Education and Therapy at Temple University’s Boyer College of Music and Dance in Philadelphia, PA. The chorus will rehearse Thursday, November 16th on the University of Nebraska-Lincoln campus, the host site of the 2017 NMEA Conference/Clinic. A final public concert will be held Thursday, November 16th, at 4:00 p.m. at the Lied Center for the Performing Arts on the University of Nebraska-Lincoln campus.
