by Trina Wetzel
Monday, May 2, the junior and senior high school choirs at Pierce held their pop concert, which was the final concert of the year.
Mrs. Amy Barnhill, choir director, states on junior high’s performance, “I thought they did well, they had a lot more sound than in previous concerts!”
The songs the junior high performed were “Firework,” “Clouds,” and “Take Me Home, Country Roads.”
Junior High choir member, Jamee Burhoop, says, “I think the concert went well. We sang much louder than we did last time and had much more focus.”
Moving onto the high school’s performance, Barnhill comments on their performance saying, “I think they did a fabulous job, and they have improved a lot this year and I am looking forward to next year!”
The high school also sang three songs, which were “This Is Me,” “I Am Still Your Dreamer,” and “We Are the World 25 for Haiti.”
Merin Gossman, high school choir member, said, “It went very good, all the solos did a fantastic job and as our last concert, I believe it was one of our best ones.”
This was the last performance of the year for the choir.
