Bluejay Wrestling Season Kicks Off

Boys and girls wrestling season starts up with 30 boys and 16 girls participating for the 2021-2022 season.
Assistant coach Jason Freudenburg stated, “I’m excited to see how well our team will grow this season, get better, and how well they get along as a team.”
The boys team consists of 30 wrestlers with 12 returning letter winners including sophomores Zakary Abler, Camden Jansen and Zavien Buol, juniors Blake Bolling, Jayden Coulter and Parker Sackville, and seniors Brock Bolling, Michael Kruntorad, Nicholas Erickson, Isaiah Adams, Taylor Zamora, and Colton Fritz.
Kruntorad said, “I am very excited to see how we do as a team after we lost two very good wrestlers, and I think this year we have real potential to be great this year.”
The girls team consists of 16 wrestlers with 7 returning letter winners; Angeline Skrdla, Braxtynne Emerson, Maggie Painter, Mariah Eckert, Katelyn Gubbels, Makinzie Parsons, and Callie Arnold.
Arnold commented, “I’m excited to finally start wrestling again. We have quite a few more girls out this year to fill in spots, and I can’t wait to see what we can do as a team.”
The Bluejay wrestling teams will be at O’Neill on Saturday, December 4.
