Winter Royalty Candidates 2021

This year’s theme for the annual winter royalty dance is “Dancing Under the Stars”. The dance will be held on Saturday, January 16. 

Queen candidate, Faith Lubischer, expresses, “I’m excited for winter royalty because it's an event that we are still able to do during the COVID times, and I’m excited to have one last winter royalty dance with my friends!” 

Savannah Gilmore, daughter of Matt and Mandy Gilmore, has been a member of girls letter club for one year. She has also participated in basketball one year and cross country one year. She has received an academic letter two years, honor roll two years, and principal’s honor roll two years. She attends Northern Heights Baptist Church, and she is a leader in Awanas. 

Cruz Gleason is the son of Mike and Jen Gleason and was involved in FFA for one year, and boys letter club for three years. He has been in band and track for four years, and football for three years. He has been on the honor roll for four years. He is a member of Pierce United Methodist Church. 

Faith Lubischer, daughter of Brad and Kristie Lubischer, has been in the National Honor Society for three years and girls letter club for four years. She was president of student council her senior year, and vice president her junior year, and a member for five years. She participated in basketball, track, and volleyball for four years, and journalism for two years. She has been on the principal’s honor roll for four years and received academic all-state for two years in volleyball and basketball when she was a junior. She is a member of St. Joseph’s Catholic Church and is a part of the Y-Disciple program.

Tanner Kuper is the son of Jennifer Fanning and Robb Kuper, and has been in National Honor Society for three years, and boys letter club for four years. He was junior class president, and president for National Honor Society, he was vice president for his class his freshman year, and secretary his sophomore year. He was in choir for three years and journalism for one, and in football and speech for four years. He has been in the academic team for three years and principal’s honor roll for four years and earned all-conference in journalism his sophomore year and academic all-conference his junior year. He received academic all-state speech his junior year, as well as receiving a math and science award for top junior student. He is a member of Zion Lutheran Church. 

Abigail Meier is the daughter of John and Michelle Meier and has been in National Honor Society and FCA for three years and girls letter club for four years. She has been in student council for three years, was president her senior year and secretary her junior year. She has also been her class vice president her junior year, class secretary her freshman, sophomore, and senior years. She has done quiz bowl for four years and has been captain for three of those years, she has been in band, basketball, track, and volleyball for four years. She has been on the academic team for two years and been on principal’s honor roll for four years. Meier also received academic all-state track her sophomore year and academic all-state basketball her junior year. She has been part of the Zion Lutheran Church and Fusion Youth Group. 

Logan Moeller, son of Matt and Brandee Moeller, has been in the National Honor Society for two years, and boys letter club for four years. He has been part of the basketball, football, and track teams for four years. He has been on honor roll and principal’s honor roll for two years. He has gotten honorable mention for one year in football. He is part of St. Joseph’s Catholic Church and the Y-Disciple youth group.

Kenzie Moeller is the daughter of Casey and Lacey Moeller and has been in FCCLA for one year, National Honor Society, and girls letter club for three years. She has been a member of student council for three years and has been secretary her senior year and the treasurer for junior year. She was in choir, journalism, and cheerleading for one year. She has been in basketball, track, and volleyball for four years. She has been on honor roll and principal’s honor roll for two years, and she has received honorable mention all-state in the Omaha World Herald and Lincoln Journal Star for two years. She has also earned honorable mention for Class C Elite 8 in the Norfolk Daily News for two years, and first team all-conference for one year, and all-conference honorable mention for one year. For volleyball, she has gotten class C1 dig record her junior year, and Mid-State conference honorable mention for two years. She is a member of St. Joseph’s Catholic Church and has been a part of the Y-Disciple program for four years. 

Tyler Race, son of Scott and Laurie Race, has been in boys letter club three years, National Honor Society two years, and FCA three years. He has played basketball, golf, and football for four years. He has received principal's honor roll four years, all-district second team in football one year, and all-state honorable mention for football one year. He is a member of Christ Lutheran Church.  

Shelby White, daughter of Andy and Tami White, has been in National Honor Society three years and FCA four years. She has also been in band two years, speech four years, and cheerleading four years. Shelby has achieved an academic letter four years, all conference speech one year, academic team four years, principal’s honor roll four years, All-American cheer one year, and has been a peer tutor for one year. She is a member of Zion Lutheran Church. 

Chaden Roth is the son of Tyler and Stefanie Roth. He has been in National Honor Society two years, student council three years, and boys letter club four years. He has also participated in basketball, golf, and football for four years. He has been on honor roll three years and principal’s honor roll one year. Roth also earned all-state honorable mention in the Omaha-World Herald, and one of the Northeast Nebraska Elite Eight honorable mention. He is a member of St. Joseph’s Catholic Church. 

The queen and king will be crowned on Saturday, January 16, at the auditorium starting at 7:30 p.m.
