The Pierce all-school students performed their play Evil Dead: The Musical on Friday, April 13, at the Pierce Auditorium under the direction of Andrew and Misti Halsey. The students were originally supposed to perform on Saturday, April 14, as well, but due to the weather, the performance was moved to Saturday, April 21.
There were 21 students involved in the cast and crew. The play is about five colleges students who take a trip to a cabin and are overtaken by an evil presence. The cast included Trevor Zellmer as Ash Williams, Matthew Williams as Scott, Peter Halsey as Jake, Alex Mckeown as Ed, Madison Altwine as Cheryl, Rachel Fenton as Linda, Cody Fuchs as Shelly, Alexandria Vavra as Annie, Shawn Zellmer as Knowby, Nick Erickson as the Evil Voice.
Senior and student director Holli Hoctor said, “The play went very well. Everyone really joined together and became a team. We were a very scattered group at the beginning of practices, and we didn’t really know each other, but now we got along great. For Saturday’s performance, we will be trying to hype up the play and make it more energetic.” Senior actor Trevor Zellmer added, “We will also be working on our lines continuously.”
The all-school play students will perform on Saturday, April 21, at 7 p.m. at the auditorium.
