Showtime is Near

By Elizabeth Furstenau

Take your places and put your finishing touches on your costume because the all school play is right around the corner.

Friday, April 11, is opening night, followed by a performance on Saturday, April 12.

The group will be performing the 90 minute play, “67 Cinderellas” by Stacey Lane. The doors will open at 6:30 p.m. to the public. Admission will be $5 for adults and $3 for students. Once the clock chimes 7, it is show time.

The cast began rehearsing at the end of February. Since then, they have memorized their lines and blocking. The crew has been busy painting sets, making props, finding background sounds, etc. Everyone has been putting in 110% effort to produce a fun and laughable experience for people of all ages. A huge thanks to the crew for all of their extra hard work.

“I’m excited to see the cast and crew’s hard work come together at the performances. They have all put so much time, effort, and talent into the play, and it will be very rewarding to see it come to fruition,” director Melissa Legate says.

First year member, Tate Reinke, says his first year has been, “really fun and I regret not doing it more years, but I am glad I went out this year.”
