The Pierce High Dance Team leaped into their 2019-20 season starting with tryouts at the end of last year and the start of this year. Tryouts are for students in grades 9-12. Dance tryouts took place Tuesday, September 10 at the high school. On Friday, September 13, the team held dance practice at 6 a.m. and then tryouts at 4:30 p.m. Afterward, the girls will find out if they made it on the team.
Dance coach, Presley Young said, “Unfortunately, you can never tell exactly how a season is going to go based on tryouts. However, the group of girls we have trying out this year show promising work ethic and positive attitudes. Coach Ronspies and I are hoping for a great dance season.”
The returning dancers this year are Alexus Sindelar, Alle Koehler, Angel Heisinger, and MacKenzie Peters. Seven girls signed up to be apart of the dance team this year. Those that made it are Chloey Cederburg and Zaylah Pfanstiel.
Junior dancer, MacKenzie Peters excited for this year said, “The girls we have trying out all have experience with dance so I feel like once we get everything together, and we get a plan it will be a successful year.” The coaches of the Pierce High dance team are Presley Young and Alanna Ronspies.
