Track Teams Sprint into First Meet

The high school track teams traveled to Stanton for their first meet of the year on Tuesday, March 26, where the girls’ team received a score of 127, and the boys’ team scored 141. Both teams received a 1st place finish.

For the girls, in the 100-meter hurdles, Maggie Brahmer placed 1st with a time of 16.00. In the 400-meter relay, Callie Arnold, Kenzie Moeller, Alexus Sindelar, and Maggie Brahmer finished 2nd with a time of 52.72. Also, in the 400 relay, Maiya Baumann, Faith Lubischer, Elizabeth Hammer, and Katie Vogt placed 6th with a time of 55.44. In the 300 hurdles, Brahmer place 1st with a time of 51:02, Abigail Meier placed 3rd with a time of 53:10, Lubischer placed 5th with a time of 53:53. In the 200-meter dash, Vogt placed 3rd with a time of 27:20. In the 1600-meter relay, Arnold, Payten Simmons, Sindelar, and Vogt placed 1st with a time of 4:22:10. In shot put, Kaylee Dvorak placed 2nd with a throw of 34’05.00”, and Marie Stone placed 3rd with a throw of 34’01.00”. In high jump, Brahmer placed 1st with a jump of 5’00.00”, and Rhayna Waldner placed 3rd with a jump of 4’06.10”. In triple jump, Gina Wragge placed 2nd with a jump of 30’09.50”, Lubischer placed 4th with a jump of 30’04.50”, and A. Meier placed 6th with a jump of 30’00.51”. In long jump, Moeller placed 2nd with a jump of 14’06.00”, Morgan Blecher placed 4th with a jump of 14’04.75”, and Wragge placed 6th with a jump of 13’10.75”. In pole vault, Angelica Volquardsen placed 3rd with a vault of 6’06.00”. In discus, Waldner placed 4th with a throw of 97’04.00”.

Individual results for the boys’ team were as follows: In the 3200-meter relay, the team of Mason Sindelar, David Dale, Isaac Lambrecht, and Cole Vogt placed 3rd with the time of 8:53.00, and the team of Brock Bolling, Chris Efta, Dawson Watts, and Kyler Peters placed 6th with a time of 9:41.00. In the 100-meter hurdles, Devan Roth placed 1st with a time of 16.08. In the 100-meter dash, Dalton Freeman placed 1st with a time of 11.19, and Carson Oestreich placed 4th with a time of 11.41. In the 400-meter relay, the team of Devan Roth, Carson Oestreich, Brett Tinker, and Freeman placed 1st with the time of 44.96, and the team of Dylan Delka, David Dale, Ritter Oestreich, and Logan Moeller placed 4th with the time of 47.18. In the 400-meter dash, David Dale placed 3rd with a time of 53.93. In the 300-meter hurdles, Carson Oestreich placed 1st with the time of 43.41, and Dylan Delka placed 6th with a time of 47.25. In the 200-meter dash, Freeman took 1st with a time of 23.12. In the 1600-meter relay, the team of Kaden Johnson, Mason Sindelar, Ritter Oestreich, and Cole Vogt placed 4th with the time of 3:46.50. In shot put, Cruz Gleason place 4th with a throw of 42’04.25. In high jump, Dawson Watts placed 5th with a jump of 5’06.00”. In triple jump, Gavin Larson placed 1st with a jump of 42’10.50”, Moeller placed 4th with a jump of 38’03.50”m and Mason Sindelar placed 6th with a jump of 38’01.50”. In long jump, Brett Tinker placed 3rd with a jump of 18’07.50”, and Moeller placed 5th with a jump of 18’05.51”. In pole vault, Miles Garcia placed 2nd with a vault of 11’00.00”, and Dalton Delka placed 3rd with a vault of 10’06.00”. In discus, Colby Richart placed 2nd with a throw of 138’05.00”, and Cruz Gleason placed 3rd with a throw of 134’09.00”.

Head Coach Tim Waldner said, “It was great for as little practice we had because we practiced four days and took a week off for the flood, then we had four days of practice, then the meet. It was a good day, and we had great meet.”

Both teams head to Wayne, America, on Tuesday, April 2, where they will compete in their second meet of the year.
