Speech Competes at GACC

Several members of the PHS speech team traveled to West Point to compete at the Guardian Angels Central Catholic tournament on Saturday, February 2. At the nine-team tournament, the JV placed 4th in their division, and the varsity competitors, even with only two team members, placed 5th.
Individual results were as follows for JV: Katie Vogt placed 1st in persuasive speaking. Shawn Zellmer placed 2nd in extemporaneous speaking. Zachary Price placed 3rd in humorous prose and 5th in entertainment speaking. Alle Koehler placed 6th in serious prose. In duet acting, Madisyn Hamm and Aundrea Huber placed 6th.
Varsity results included Chloey Cederburg placing 2nd in informative speaking and Hailey Abler placing 5th in persuasive speaking.
The next speech meet will take place in Wausa next Saturday, February 9.
