Fall Awards Banquet Held

Pierce High held their fall sports awards banquet on Monday, November 26, at the Pierce High gymnasium. The coaches acknowledged the participants and letter winners of their respective sports.
There were six fall sports that were presented. Coach Melinda Stelling presented first for girls’ golf. Girls’ golf had four letter winners: senior Samantha Svendsen, junior Syndey Erickson, sophomore Rebecca Albrecht, and freshman Madisyn Hamm.
Softball coach Marika VonSeggern recognized ten letter winners: seniors Kaylee Dvorak, Brianna Aguilera, Rose Graham, Kiley Bierman; juniors Angelica Volquardsen, Magdalena Dale, and Kaycie Druyor; and sophomores Ashton Oestreich, Elizabeth Hammer, and Mikala Stone.
Coach Gary Shada’s cross country team had eight boy letter winners and three girl letter winners. For the boys, seniors Dalton Haase and Isaac Lambrecht, juniors Cole Vogt and Carter Jensen, sophomores Mason Sindelar, Colt Arnold and Miles Garcia, and freshman Brock Bolling. For the girl runners, sophomore Bridget Raff and freshmen Alexus Sindelar and Callie Arnold lettered. Shada also gave a special award, the 3D award, which was given to Colt Arnold in honor of Holli Nelson.
Cheer coach Lauren Bengston recognized nine letter winners: seniors Stephanie Rinkel, Abbey Sedlacek, and Macie Timm; juniors Jade Dickey, Halle Ross, and Maiya Baumann; and sophomores Kailey Marks, Shelby White, and Alexis Schnoor.
Coached by Brittany Weber, volleyball had ten letter winners: seniors Marie Stone, Maggie Brahmer, Kayla Simmons, Abbey Fuerhoff, Katrina Meier, and Rhayna Waldner; junior Tazlynn Sporleder; sophomores Faith Lubischer, and Kenzie Moeller; and freshman Kennedy Warneke. There were a few special awards handed out to some volleyball players. Maggie Brahmer received the Mid-State All-Conference award and the Hausmann Physical Therapy Star Athlete of the Week award, and she also had over 1,000 kills in a career with 1,216. Rhayna Waldner, Kayla Simmons, and Kenzie Moeller received Mid-State Conference Honorable Mention.
To end the banquet, coach Mark Brahmer presented awards to the football team, which had a total of 47 letter winners from freshman to seniors.
