Golf Team Members Place at Plainview

Pierce came home with the medalist as the girls’ golf team competed in Plainview on Saturday, September 15.
There was not a varsity team score for the Lady Jays Saturday, since only three participated. Individually, Sydney Erickson shot a 94 and placed first. Samantha Svendsen shot a 106 and placed fourth and Rebecca Albrecht shot a 117 and placed eleventh.
Coach Melinda Stelling said, “Sydney tied her best nine hole round on her first round, and Samantha and Rebecca did a good job on improving their scores during the second round.”
The golf team’s next meet is scheduled for Thursday, September 20 in Wayne.
Lady Jay Golfers Tee off in Triangular

Lady Jay Golfers performed at their home triangular against Wayne and Hartington Cedar Catholic with a team score of 230 on Thursday, September 13.
The golfers teed off with determination, swinging against the wind, but still got the following scores. Senior Samantha Svendsen scored 45, junior Sydney Erickson scored 44, Rebecca Albrecht scored 60, and the only JV golfer, Madisyn Hamm, scored 81. The team placed second, with HCC at 205.
Mrs. Stelling said, “Considering the wind conditions, I’m very pleased with how well they all did.”
The Lady Jay golfers’ next meet is scheduled for Thursday, September 20, at Wayne, weather permitting.
