Pierce’s girls’ golf team and coach Melinda Stelling traveled to O’Neill for their first meet of the golf season on Thursday, August 16.

The girls’ golf team did not receive a team score, as teams must have four varsity members to place as a team, and Pierce’s team has three varsity members: Sydney Erickson, Samantha Svendsen, and Rebecca Albrecht, along with JV member Madisyn Hamm.

Individually, Sydney Erickson got 5th with a 104. Samantha Svendsen got 10th with a 110. Rebecca Albrecht placed 13th with a 115. Madisyn Hamm placed 4th in JV with a 136. According to Coach Stelling, “There is not ‘one’ thing we need to work on as a team, but individually, the girls need to work on their weakest points. If it goes like other years, I will see the girls continue to improve and see their scores go down.”

The next girls’ golf meet will be Friday, August 24, at Wayne.
