Bluejays Tee Off Golf Season

The boys’ golf team has officially started to practice, and going into the golf season, they’re 24 members strong with two returning letterwinners.
The seniors on this year’s team are Ethan Blecher (returning letterman), Dysen Roth (returning letterman), Matthew Williams, and Wyatt Neitzke. The juniors are Dalton Haase and Logan Kallhoff. The sophomores include Jakob Edins, Jacob Kerber, Alex McKeown, Dean Orwig, Weston Neitzke and Reid West. The freshmen are Gavin Ferris, Dustin and Travis Jensen, Jaden Jones, Trevor Pettitt, Hunter Raabe, Tyler Race, Shawn Rinkel, Sam Ronso, Chaden Roth, Mason Sedlacek, and Dawson Watts. The team will be coached by Rick Adams assisted by Zach Weber.
In practice, the team and the coaches plan to do classroom work and prepare for the rules test. After they finish the the rules test, they will then be heading out to the course. The team has only two letterwinners coming back this year, so they have tons of room to improve throughout this season.
The team has several goals heading into this season. Head coach Rick Adams said he hopes that, “We can be competitive, and that the kids can have a great experience.”
The golf team’s first meet will be the Crofton Invite held on April 5 for the varsity only, and the reserves will go to Neligh for a quadrangular on the same day.
