Jazz Band Receives Superior at UNO Festival

The jazz band traveled to the University of Nebraska Omaha campus on Friday, February 24, for the UNO jazz festival. The jazz band received an overall superior rating.

The members of the jazz band are Rebecca Albrecht, Angelica Volquardsen, Peter Halsey, Abbey Fuerhoff, Alexander Kesting, Kiley Bierman, Trevor Zellmer, Abygail Streff, Macie Timm, Mason Sindelar, Rachel Fenton, Klarissa Norris, Katrina Meier, Matthew Williams, Dylan Delka, Grace Spieker, Jacob Pedersen, Abbey Sedlacek, Brianna Aguilera, Shawn Rinkel and Caydan Retzlaff.

The jazz band had to perform in front of two judges. Their selection of songs were “Brass Machine,” “As if to Say Goodbye,” and “Work Song”

The jazz band’s next performance is Tuesday, March 20, at the band concert at PHS, followed by the Northeast Jazz festival on Tuesday, March 27.
