Jazz Band Earns Superior at Midland

Pierce High’s jazz band went to Midland University in Fremont on Tuesday, February 13, to perform for a panel of judges. The group received a superior rating for their performance.
High schools from all over Nebraska performed at Midland, and Pierce’s jazz band performed three songs in front of the judges. Band director Mr. Sindt said, “They did very well, and all of them had positive feedback.”
Jazz members included Alexander Kesting, Peter Halsey, Abbey Fuerhoff, Angelica Volquardsen, Kiley Bierman, Rebecca Albrecht, Macie Timm, Trevor Zelmer, Mason Sindelar, Abygail Streff, Jacob Pedersen, Abbey Sedlacek, Grace Spieker, Caydan Retzlaff, Brianna Aguilera, Shawn Rinkel, Rachel Fenton, Klarissa Norris, Dylan Delka, and Katrina Meier.
