Bluejays Finish Runner-Up in GACC Speech Meet

The Bluejays traveled to West Point on Saturday, February 3, and battled to bring home second place.

The Varsity speech team placed second in the meet with 14 medalists. Medaling in this meet was Sydney Erickson placing first in informative, Maiya Baumann placing second in humorous prose, Halle Ross placing second in serious prose, and Janae Arens with third in humorous prose. Also placing first in the OID was Macie Timm, Arens, Dylan Delka, Abigail White, and Jaden Gleason. Following this was Morgan Crist with fourth place in poetry, Elizabeth Harris with fourth place in serious prose, Katrina Meier with fourth place in extemporaneous, sixth place in entertainment, and sixth place in persuasive. Delka with fifth place in entertainment, Alex McKeown with fifth place in persuasive, Klarissa Norris with sixth place in informative, Trevor Zellmer and Peter Halsey with sixth place in Duet Acting.

The JV speech team also placed second with 7 medalists. Medaling in this meet was Mark Venteicher with first place in extemporaneous as well as first place in informative, Kaleb Zamora with first place in humorous prose, Abygail Streff with second place in poetry as well as sixth place in extemporaneous, Shelby White with second place in persuasive, Matthew Williams with third place in extemporaneous, and Bridget Raff with sixth place in entertainment.

The Bluejays’ next meet will be Saturday, February 10, at Wausa.
