NHS Elects Officers

The National Honor Society held their first meeting of the year to elect a president on Monday, October 30.
The president this year is Grace Spieker. Spieker said of the honor, “I’m honored to be elected as the president. I’m excited to start the year.”
The National Honor Society is made up of members who have at least a 3.0 GPA and are inducted by a committee of teachers based on their character, leadership, and service. Mr. Tom Edmisten, the sponsor for National Honor Society, held the meeting in his room. Mr. Edmisten encourages students to aspire to NHS because, “It’s a mark of achievement academically, and they have been noticed as leaders.”
