Bluejays Fly Through State CC

The boys’ cross country team of Pierce High capped off a successful season at Kearney in the state championships on Friday, October 20.
As a team, Pierce placed 7th out of 12 teams. The runners were Cole Vogt, Ian Fisher, Isaac Lambrecht, Mason Sindelar, Miles Garcia, and Colt Arnold.
Mason Sindelar led the Jays as he ran a 17:30.20 race to place 6th and medal. Cole Vogt followed with his time of 18:37.32 and placed 34th. With the time of 19:06.64 was Ian Fischer in 56th place, and Isaac Lambrecht came in with a time of 19:09.02 in 57th. The two freshmen on the team were Miles Garcia who ran a 19:38.08 to place 72nd, and Colt Arnold with his time of 21:29.72, which placed him 89th.
Coach Gary Shada said of the team’s performance at state, “We ran a good race. Although we did not run a team race, I was pleased with the efforts that everyone put forth.”
