In all there were 17 bands at the festival, which was originally to be held in Ashland but was relocated to Platteview due to wet conditions on Ashland’s field.
Band director Michael Sindt said, “Overall the band played and marched well. There are a few things that need to be fixed by Saturday [for the state competition], but I feel confident that we will compete great.”
The Jays’ next band competition will be State Band Marching Competition in Kearney on Saturday, October 21
