Pierce High Starts off the Year
by Rhayna Waldner
PHS kicked off the 2017-2018 school year on Friday, August 11.
The full day of school started off with a student assembly starting right away at 8:00 when teachers were introduced and policies were discussed by principal Mark Brahmer. At the conclusion of the assembly at 9:00, regular classes started up with the school day ending at 3:20.
Brahmer said, “Our major changes this year would be our new staff members. Ms. Alexis Nixon is the new special education teacher, and Mrs. Angie Broderson is the new family and consumer science teacher. I most look forward to the day-to-day interactions with students and our staff. I enjoy the school day routine and watching kids grow intellectually and athletically, and also being able to watch them mature.”
