Choir Holds Spring Concert
by Samantha Hartman
On Tuesday, May 9, at Pierce High School, the junior and senior high choirs held their spring concert.
This concert had a little bit of a twist to it this year. Usually, the junior high starts the night off, but this year, the senior high did. The senior high started off with “SiSi.” The boys’ ensemble sang a song from contest called “Coast of High Barbary.” The girls then sang their song from contest called “Paper of Pins.” The choir as a whole sang “Travel On, Dear Friends” and “Sound of Silence.”
Next the junior high sang and even danced to “Peter Pan,” “Mississippi Mud,” “Music Punology,” “Let the River Run,” and “ Rockin’ Robin.” The senior high then joined the junior high for “Drive My Car,” which they danced and sang to. Both choirs also sang “Imagine” together.
The senior high alone danced and sang to the classic song “Locomotion.” The seniors then gave accompanist Mrs. Celine Fehringer and director Mrs. Terri Haselhorst gifts for the end of the year. Then the senior high also sang “Seven Bridges Road.” Then they got their beaks and feet on and shook their tail feathers to the finale “Concerto For Singing Chickens.”
