Book Swap at Pierce Elementary

On Friday, December 9, Mrs. Peters’s sixth grade class sponsored a “Book Swap” with K-6 students. This is the 3rd year that Mrs. Peters’s class has done this. The Book Swap is an event where kids bring books to swap for other books. Seventy-one students participated this semester, swapping over 300 books!
When we asked Hannah Martin what she thought of the Book Swap, she responded, “Gonna come back next time and get 20 to 30 more!” Second grader Lauren Delka said, “Definitely going to do it again next year!” And kindergarten teacher, Mrs. Silhacek said,”This is a really neat idea.”
Students will have another chance second semester to turn in more books!
