One-Act Receives District Runner-Up

The one-act cast, crew, and director traveled to Ord Wednesday, November 30, for districts. The one act team received district runner-up. The team was the first to perform for the day with their show MacBad.
There were eight plays at districts including Pierce. The teams were West Point-Beemer, Wayne, Norfolk Catholic, Madison, Ord, O’Neill and Boone Central.
The outstanding actors and actresses for Pierce were Derek Ross, Peter Halsey, Chance White, Macie Timm, Janae Arens, Holli Hoctor, Emilia Goetsch,and Jacob Kuester.
“The actors couldn’t have performed any better,” said director Danielle Goetsch. “We had a lighting glitch and a sound glitch, yet the team that won deserves to go to state. I couldn’t have asked for a better group or a better performance.”
