by Taylor Oestreich
Pierce High’s choir performed for the first time this school year on Friday, October 21. The performance was held in the gym at Pierce High School.
The choir sang a wide variety of songs, including “My God is a Rock,” “Sisi,” “Joshua Fit the Battle at Jericho,” “Let Freedom Ring,” “Gonna Ride,” “Tears in Heaven,” and “Freedom Train.” The All-State audition group also performed the song “Come Again.”
Choir teacher Terri Haselhorst said, “They sang very well, and I’m happy with how everyone has progressed so far this year. I really like how we’ve been to make our songs stylistically accurate.”
The choir’s next performance is at Mid-States which will be held at Norfolk Catholic.
