PHS celebrated the 2016 homecoming week from Monday, September 12-16. The week culminated with the coronation of queen Shianna Oestreich and king Caleb Sullivan on Friday, September 16.
The theme of this year’s homecoming was “Surfin’ Homecoming.” The week started off with sunglasses and crazy hats. Tuesday’s dress up theme was JJ day, where students wore their jerseys and jeans. On Wednesday, students dressed up in their beach clothing. Thursday, everybody “dressed to impress.” Finally, on Friday, the students made a “sea of blue” as they showed their team spirit by wearing blue.
On Friday, the high school had a 1:00 dismissal, with the parade beginning at 1:20, and a pep rally following at the high school.
Also on Friday, the Pierce Bluejays took on Arlington at their homecoming game. Immediately following the game was the coronation, where Shianna Oestreich and Caleb Sullivan were crowned royalty. After coronation, the students headed down to the auditorium for the dance.
