The varsity golfers brought home a fourth place title from the Randolph golf invite on Monday, May 9. The golfers scored a team score of 352 .
Ethan Blecher scored an 84 at the invite. Oscar Backstrom left the meet with a score of 87 strokes. Dysen Roth brought home a score of 90. Following by one point, Matthew Bruce scored a 91. Clay Johnson finished the day with a 92. A score of 66 won the invitational.
Head coach Rick Adams said, “We finished fourth, which is about where I thought we would. However, we didn’t meet our team score goal. Right now, we are focusing on districts.”
The team competed at district golf on Monday, May 16, in Plainview. The state golf meet will held on Wednesday, May 25, through Thursday, May 26, in Kearney.
