Student Council Holds Volleyball Tournament

Students from Pierce High school participated in a Student Council sponsored volleyball tournament on Sunday, April 17, at Pierce High School.
The day consisted of a double elimination tournament between five teams. The champion of the tournament was Dat Ace Doe 1. This team consisted of Shianna Oestreich, Levi Sudbeck, Krystina Schuett, Noah Zimmerer, Hailey Race, and Brady Starkel. Dat Ace Doe 2 finished the day with a close second place. The players on this team were Carly Sutherland, Rhayna Waldner, Ian Fisher, Wyatt Neitzke, Ethan Blecher, Taylor Oestreich, and Dysen Roth.
The champions won back half of their registration money and two donuts. The second place team brought home a candy bar and a drink from the student council pop machine. All of the money made from the tournament goes toward student council scholarships.
Student Council sponsor Mrs. Deb Koehlmoos said, “It really seemed like everyone who participated or watched enjoyed themselves. We had a lot of fun putting it on. I’d like to do something like it again.”
