FCCLA Holds Christmas Party
FCCLA Holds Christmas Party

Celebrating Christmas time, the Pierce FCCLA members held their annual Christmas party on Friday, December 4, at the high school.
This year, the Christmas party consisted of exciting games, an entertaining movie, and surprising gifts. The party started at 5:00 p.m. on Friday and ended at 11:00 p.m.
This year, there were costumes where groups in the chapter picked out a theme involving Christmas and then dressed up in costumes for that theme. Also, every member who wanted to be involved in the gift exchange brought a five dollar gift.
The first activity that started off the night was making individual pizzas. While the pizzas were baking, everyone who brought a gift for the gift exchange sat in a circle and passed their gifts around to a story that was being told. Once the story was over, each member had to unwrap their gift and had to guess who the gift was from. After the gift exchange, the members enjoyed their pizzas.
After eating, they departed for the Memory Tree ceremony. At the ceremony, president Breane Hoffman and community service officer Ellie Peters read off the names of the ornaments that were in memory of a person who had passed. Once the names were read, they sang carols while the tree was being lit for the first time this year.
After the ceremony, the FCCLA went back to the school, where they participated in activities that were led by Shianna Oestrich and Junior Aguilar. The activities were a scavenger hunt, Minute to Win it games, and glow in the dark dodgeball. After these activities, everyone settled down for ice cream cake to end the party.
“It was a lot of fun,” said head advisor Cheryl Timm. “It was a great bonding time, and we had a lot of fun.”
