Pierce High’s FCCLA officer team attended a fall leadership workshop at Wayne State College on Friday, September 11.
The officers first attended an opening session where the state officers this year introduced themselves and talked about some of the sessions for the day. During the opening session, a motivational speaker, Demoine Adams, came and motivated everyone to be a leader and not a follower and discussed what it takes to be a leader.
The Pierce officers then attended sessions based on what office they currently hold and some of the tasks they will do in their offices. They also attended other helpful sessions that would be helpful to the Pierce FCCLA chapter as a whole.
“The day was well organized, and there was a session for each officer and other sessions for leadership skills to help the chapter,” said advisor Cheryl Timm.
The Pierce officers then attended a closing session where everyone was thanked for helping to put the program together, and then the officers traveled back to Pierce.
