Class meetings were held at Pierce High School Wednesday, August 19. Class officers were elected, along with student council representatives.
In the 7th and 8th grade classes, only student council representatives were elected, and this year, the 8th graders elected Alex Mckeown and Soley Nelson to represent them.
The freshmen elected president Janae Arens, vice president Macie Timm, secretary Rose Graham, and treasurer Stephanie Rinkel. They also elected student council representative Ellie Peters.
In the sophomore class, elected were president Taylor Oestreich, vice president Brianna Furstenau, secretary Annie Johnson, and treasurer Meredith Fasse. Also, Carly Sutherland was elected to student council.
Juniors elected president Junior Aguilar, vice president Breane Hoffman, secretary Parker Baumann, and treasurer Bryce Bierman. Representing them on student council will be Emily Simmons. During the junior meeting, the class also discussed possible prom themes to be voted on and discussed their fundraiser which will be conducted at the homecoming football game. In the senior meeting, the class elected president Kate Asmus, vice president Jaci Brahmer, secretary Kati Krueger, and treasurer Casey Sutherland. They also elected student council representative Alec Price. Because seniors also have graduation to be thinking about, at their class meetings, they discussed what to expect in their senior year. They also talked about Jostens coming on October 7 for graduation cap and gown measuring.
