New Officers Attend COLT

    On May 28^th and 29^th, the eight officers of the Pierce FFA chapter attended COLT conference (Chapter Officer Leadership Training) at the Leadership Center in Aurora. 5 of the officers have attended COLT previously, but for 3 of them it was a new experience. While there, they were able to meet and collaborate with the Nebraska State FFA officers and were taught about their office and how to be a leader. Each chapter also presented their opening and closing ceremonies. Chapters were given time of their own when they could plan events for the upcoming year. Advisor Jamie Stark said, "The state FFA officers always do such a great job kicking off the year for our chapter officers. The success of a chapter always begins with the environment set by the officers, and I'm very excited to work with this group of officers over the course of the next year."
