Elementary Collects Box Tops for Education

The P.A.T.S. (Parents and Teachers for Students) Organization held their annual Box Top collection contest throughout the month of March at the elementary school.
Each classroom was in competition with each other to bring in the most Box Tops. Students have been collecting Box Tops throughout the year with hopes of bringing in the largest amount.
This year Pierce Elementary collected over 22,000 Box Tops. BoxTops are worth $.10 each, so this calculates to over $2,200! P.A.T.S. awarded prizes to the first and second place classrooms.
First place was a pizza party with pizza donated by Taylor's Bar and Grill in Pierce and this was awarded to Mrs. Ziem's 2nd Grade class with a collection of 127 Box Tops per student. Second place went to Mrs. Bruening's 3rd Grade class. They collected 124 Box Tops per student and they received a box of Skittles.
A big thanks goes out to P.A.T.S., Student Council Members, and parents who helped cut and sort the Box Tops during this years competition.
THANKS to all the Pierce Elementary Students. You did an AMAZING job collecting this year!!
