Speech Team Competes at Battle Creek

Pierce’s JV and varsity speakers competed at Battle Creek on Saturday, February 21.

The junior varsity placed 5^th overall. Breane Hoffman placed 2^nd in Entertainment Speaking and 6^th in Serious Prose, and Bryce Bierman earned 2^nd place in Extemporaneous Speaking. Trevor Zellmer also participated in Extemporaneous Speaking and placed 3^rd. Finally, Leslie Dohmen and Jordyn Bullock both placed 6^th in Persuasive Speaking and Entertainment Speaking, respectively.

The varsity team placed 9^th overall with Chance White placing 4^th in Humorous Prose, and Shannah Unseld earning 6^th place in Persuasive Speaking.

The speech team will be returning to Battle Creek to take part in the Mid-State Conference speech meet on Saturday, February 28.
