Pierce High’s student council members and sponsor held their second annual Color Me Crazy fun run at PHS on Sunday, September 21.
The color run was a community wide walk/run that was meant to raise money for the Make a Wish Foundation, and approximately ninety people from the school and community participated this year. Participants ran or walked approximately three miles and were periodically drenched with water and colored powder.
This year, after all expenses were paid and entry fees were tallied up, the student council raised a total of $956.27 for the Make a Wish foundation.
Student council sponsor Deb Koehlmoos said, “I think it went really well. It seemed like a lot of people were having fun throwing the powder. It was a nice day, except we had some wind, but the turnout was good, and we appreciate that people participated. The money goes to a great cause, and we are happy to donate to the Make a Wish foundation.”
