Members of the junior and senior class, along with their dates, attended their Vegas themed prom, hosted at the White House, on Saturday, April 20.
The junior class and their sponsors had prepared for prom during the week prior by transforming the White House into a slice of Las Vegas .
The night started out with a dinner starting at 6:30; the sophomore prom servers put on the dinner show, which depicted various acts that one might see in a Vegas show, including Beatles and Sonny and Cher impersonators, a ventriloquist, and a magician. The dance followed the meal and went until 11:00. Post prom started 12:00 a.m. and went until 4:00 a.m. At post prom, laser tag was provided courtesy of Midwest Bank. An inflatable obstacle course, poker, and blackjack tables were some of the games. Prizes such as two mini iPads, a Play Station 3, and numerous TVs were given to lucky recipients. Post prom concluded with a hypnotist from 3 to 4 a.m.
Senior Micah Bahnfleth said of the night, “the service of the sophomores was great, and I enjoyed the music and dancing with my friends. It was a great night overall.”
