The Pierce High robotics team competed at a meet in Norfolk on Saturday, April 15, at the Sunset Plaza mall.
In the competition there were three different categories: programmed robots, remote control robots, and half programmed, half remote control robots. Teams were given the challenge of having their robots move various sized objects. Overall, the team competed well bringing home a fourth place finish from the robotics competition.
Robotics coach Treva Dostal said, “The day went well, and I feel that the robots were working fine with no malfunctions. Also, this was the last meet with our seniors: Gus Ussery and Alex Mandl, I feel they had a very good career and will be missed.”
