Students Play Powderpuff Games

Students Play Powderpuff Games
By Tristen Sell

On Saturday, November 3rd, Pierce High students participated in the Second Annual Powderpuff football and volleyball games put on as a fundraiser for the Student Council.

The ladies played football to start things off. The freshmen and juniors took on the sophomores and seniors. The girls played two halves that were each about twenty-five minutes long. After almost an hour of painful falls and many laughs, the freshmen and juniors were the champions.

Next, the boys played volleyball. Again, it was the freshmen and juniors versus the sophomore and seniors. The boys played three sets, all to twenty-five points. This time, it was the seniors and sophomores who were victorious, winning all three sets.

Student Council Sponsor, Deb Koehlmoos said, “The Student Council raised about $150 [after the cost of the t-shirts], but it was mainly an opportunity for the kids to get together and have some fun.”
