The ESP's (Educational Support Personnel) at PHS are selling Bluejay firepit rings to raise money. The money raised supports our ESP Pierce High School Scholarship Fund. Student Council To Host Pumpkin Run for Multiple Sclerosis

Student Council To Host Pumpkin Run for Multiple Sclerosis by Kayla Simmons Pierce High’s student council will be putting on a Pumpkin Run for Multiple Sclerosis on Sunday, October 23, beginning at 2 p.m. Runners should report to the football stadium between 1:15 and 1:45 p.m. The Pumpkin Run this year will be a 5K or 1 mile fun-run. All proceeds from the event will be donated to the Multiple Sclerosis Foundation. . . .

Team J.J. T-Shirts For Sale

James "J.J." Mattson, 4-year-old son of Josh (PHS Alumni '03) & Angie Mattson from Pierce, NE, was diagnosed with kidney cancer on September 21st. He had surgery & underwent radiation and is currently still undergoing chemotherapy. An account has been set up at Midwest Bank for Team J.J. for donations. Erickson Golfs at State

Erickson Golfs at State by Grace Spieker Sydney Erickson, a freshman Lady Jay golfer, traveled to North Platte for the state meet on Monday, October 10, and Tuesday, October 11, where she placed 50th. Going into the first day, Erickson had a personal best on the first nine-hole round, of 45. The next nine holes she received a score of 57. Her total score for the day was a 102. Cross Country News Oct 10th - Oct 15th

  JH Cross Country Runs Through Finish Line by Taylor Oestreich Pierce’s junior high cross country team ended their season strong at the Yankton Invitational on Tuesday, October 11. Alexus Sindelar and Callie Arnold got things rolling for the Jays as they finished 1st and 2nd respectively.   Fresh/Soph Football Falls Short to Panthers by Rose Graham The freshman/sophomore Bluejays fell just short of the Norfolk Panthers in overtime by a score of 46 to 47 Monday, October 10.   JH Volleyball Loses to Wisner-Pilger by Ellie Peters The JH volleyball girls headed to Wisner on Monday, October 10, to take on the Gators. All Pierce teams lost to the Gators. Starting off for the 7th graders, the A team took on the Gators. They lost the first set 7-21 and the second set 14-21. The 7B team also lost the first set with a score of 14-21.
