2011-2012 FFA Chapter Members

MONDAY:

• Western/Outlaw Day
    Break the Rule Day

WEDNESDAY:
• Redneck Day
• FFA Junker Vehicle

THURSDAY:
• Brand Name Day
• FFA Tractor Cade

FRIDAY:
• Blue & Gold Day
• Farmer Olympics

Hunting Gear Day:
Wear your favorite camouflage or hunting gear for the day. Hats are acceptable if they fit with outfit.

Silent Emblem:
Two students in each grade will start with an FFA emblem on Monday morning. If anyone catches the emblem wearer talking, the one who catches the person talking receives the emblem and cannot talk. At the end of the day, those who have the emblem will receive a prize.

Western/Outlaw Day:
Students are allowed to wear hats as long as the hat is acceptable. Students may wear western items as long as they do not promote tobacco, alcohol, etc.

Break the Rule Day:
Students are available to buy candy Tuesday morning in the commons and the library during the day and are able to eat them in class. The candy will be marked which will indicate that they are able to eat during class. The entire money raised will be donated to the Children’s Miracle Network.

Redneck Day:
Students are allowed to wear redneck items as long as they do not promote tobacco, alcohol, etc. Duck tape, cut-offs and hats are acceptable.

Brand Name Day:
Students dressing up for Brand Name Day should dress up promoting only one brand in order to be selected as the top winner. Brands cannot promote things such as alcohol or drugs. Examples of brands may include: Adidas, Ford, Chevy, John Deere, International, etc.

Blue & Gold Day:
Blue & Gold day is set to represent the National FFA colors: National Blue & Corn Gold. FFA members are to wear their 2011-2012 FFA T-Shirts and officers are to wear officer shirts. The student body and facility are also encouraged to dress up in blue and gold colors.

Junker Vehicle Day:
Honoring the beat-up, run-down tradition of the farm, FFA students can bring a vehicle on Wednesday morning for the “Junker Vehicle Contest.” A trophy is awarded to the winner at the annual FFA Banquet.

Tractor Cade:
Thursday morning students will drive tractors to school. A parade of tractors will be held before and after school.  Pierce FFA Alumni members are welcome to parade with the members but must follow the same rules as members.

Faculty & Business Appreciation Breakfast:
On Friday morning, Pierce businesses and faculty members are invited to a breakfast hosted by the Junior and Senior FFA officer teams.

Farmer Olympics:
If the school raises at least $350 for Money for Miracles by the end of the week, classes will get out early on Friday afternoon for Farmer Olympics. Dress-up winners from each grade will be selected to participate in the relay like farm activities.  Farmer Olympics consists of relay style games and tasks that one may experience on a farm.  Students from each grade level compete against each other, the junior officer team competes against the faculty and the senior FFA officer team competes against the celebrity FFA alumni members.
