FCCLA Brings in Spring

The Pierce High FCCLA held March’s monthly meeting on March 4, at 6:30.  Officers arrived at 6 to prepare.  FCCLA stands for Family Career and Community Leaders of America.  These members meet monthly to prepare for activities, fundraisers, and learning opportunities.

As members signed in, everyone began the Go Green meeting with green gelatin cake and punch.  After that, everyone made colorful works of art by finger-painting.  President Kristin Canaday opened the meeting by giving a brief ceremony.  Secretary Jadie Kallhoff followed with the minutes from February’s meeting.  Vice president Emily Taylor gave March’s treasury report.  Laurie Venteicher gave a committee report for STAR. Canaday gave the committee report for the District Speech Concession Stand.  The officers then moved on to unfinished business including State Leadership Conference, Family Night Banquet, BINGO sheets, Haiti charity report, and a fitness night.  Members were then re-informed about officer interviews that are to be held on Thursday, March 11.

FCCLA will be traveling to Lincoln for State Leadership Conference on April 11 and 12.  The April meeting will be held on April 15 at 6:30.  The Family Night Banquet will be held on April 23.
