Pierce High Sponsors Haitian Relief
The StuCo will be sponsoring a donation for Haiti this week, February 3-5. For a $1.00 a day, you will be allowed to wear pajamas on Wednesday, sport shorts on Thursday, and hats on Friday. Teachers may wear jeans on Friday for $5.00. Donations can be made each day during Encore. Those who participate will receive a mark on their hand to show they have paid. PLEASE HELP OUR HAITIAN DONATION EFFORT.
Three organizations at Pierce High, the FFA, the Student Council, and the FCCLA, are sponsoring a community clothing drive to help victims of the Haiti earthquake. They will have a donation box in which people can put summer clothing and shoes.
The clothing collection’s primary place and time will be at the Norfolk Catholic vs. Pierce basketball game on February 13. Committee members from the organizations said that they would really appreciate any donations of summer clothes or shoes.
