Pierce Public Schools

Have You Signed Up For SnowCap?

Pierce Public Schools is pleased to announce a new service to our students, staff, families and patrons.  This new service is called Snowcap.  It will notify you by cell phone text message and/or email of any school announcement.  Be the first to know if there is no school, a late start, or an early dismissal or other school related announcement.

In addition to announcements for the entire school population, we have set up other groups.  You can receive announcements that affect only your group or activity.  For example, you can receive an announcement for just boys’ basketball players or junior high choir members.  These announcements might include changes in schedules, meeting reminders, special information, or cancelations.

You can register for this free service by going clicking on the SnowCap link on this website(www.piercepublic.org).  You will find the link on the right side of the front page below the Breakfast Menus.  Follow the link to the SnowCap registration page for Pierce Public Schools.  Fill out your contact information.  Be sure to check the one for Pierce Public Schools District Wide Announcements to get the all-school announcements and then check any of the individual groups you may want.  Please do NOT check the groups you don't need.  You will get a text message or an email that provides you with the validation information for each group you sign up for.  (Please note that if you check the very top box you will be signed up for every group.)  Respond to these text messages or emails to confirm your registration. Just follow the information in your message and you will be set to receive the announcements.

If you wish to be removed from the service you need to contact the high school and ask to have us remove you.

This service is open to anyone who would like to hear announcements concerning Pierce Public Schools.  Please help us pass the word.

If you have any questions about this service, please feel free to contact either school.
