Important Info For Pierce High School Class of 2010 and Parents:
Cap and gown packages have been distributed. The gown needs to be hung on a hanger and may need to be pressed. Try the gown on to be sure it fits and does not have any stains. If anything is wrong, contact me. Make sure you bring your cap, gown, stole and tassel to the graduation ceremony. Remember that the school dress code is enforced. This means dress pants and dress shirts for boys, dresses, skirts, blouses, dress slacks or capri’s for girls. No flip-flops or tennis shoes are allowed.
Graduates need to be in the commons area by 1:30 on graduation day, Saturday, May 15. Tassels start on the left and go right. After the graduation ceremony, the gown is returned to me and you keep the cap, stole, tassel and flower.
If any senior needs to wear their cap and gown for a baccalaureate ceremony at their church after graduation day, contact me. You will need to return it to me by May 20 so it can be returned.
You will receive four reserved chair tickets. These tickets are for the chairs that are on the gym floor and need to be presented to an usher at the door. The bleacher seating is available on a first come-first served basis. If anyone has a parent, grandparent or guest that needs a space for a wheelchair, see me. Doors will open at 1:00 PM on Graduation day.
The class treasury did not have enough money to cover the costs of graduation. A graduation assessment of $14 is needed from each senior. Make checks payable to Pierce High School. Check the cost basis at the end of the message. Please pay Mr. Wood before your check out sheet is signed.
Rehearsal practice for graduation is scheduled for Wednesday, May 12 at 2:30-3:30 P.M. The practice will take about one hour. You need to be present so you know your part in the ceremony. Please be there on time.
Make sure all of your work is completed, your obligations fulfilled and any fees are paid. The last week is rapidly approaching. Mrs. Birch needs to meet with you to check scholarships and other senior related information.
If you have any questions or concerns, see Don Wood, Senior class sponsor.
