Get Your PIN and FAFSA Forms

December 17, 2004

Attention Seniors!  There are many sites on the Internet that are related to the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA), but only one is the official site.  The official site is FAFSA on the Web (www.FAFSA.ed.gov)

The first step in completing the FAFSA form is to obtain a PIN (personal identification number).  Use this link (www.pin.ed.gov) to obtain your PIN or click on the banner found at the bottom of the front page of the Pierce Public School website (www.piercepublic.org) to link you to the site.  There is NO charge to obtain a PIN or to complete the FAFSA forms.  Note:  there are companies and websites that charge for PIN and the FAFSA forms.  Never pay for this service – it is free on the government site.

If you have any questions concerning this process be sure to contact one of the counselors.
